A.T. (Fred) Zirkle, Founder and CEO
Fred has personally built, bought and sold businesses in 11 countries. Fred has served as President and CEO for both public and privately-held companies including President and CEO of Key Tronic Corp. (computer hardware, $180 MM annual revenues), president of Alpnet, Inc. (computer software/services with offices in 12 countries) and president of VentureSum (venture capital). While based in London, Fred acquired and managed the integration of companies in 11 countries.
An astute individual, Fred has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, London Financial Times, Forbes, Fortune and Business Week. He has consulted with numerous businesses concerning financing, expansion and strategic planning. Fred is past president of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), past chairman of M&A Source, a Certified Business Fellow, and past president of ACG-Utah. Upon receiving his B.A. at Duke University, Fred was drafted by the NY Jets, but chose to pursue a business career.
Rodney A. Hawes, Jr., Board Advisor
Mr. Hawes is a Distinguished Military Graduate of Stanford University and earned an MBA from Harvard University as a Baker Scholar. He served as Co-Chairman of the Brigham Young University Lighting the Way Campaign and now serves as a member of the National Advisory Council to the Marriott School of Management at BYU. He recently served on the Harvard Business School Campaign Advisory Committee and is a member of the Board of Dean’s Advisors at Harvard Business School.
Rod Hawes served as Chairman and CEO of Life Re Corporation from 1988 until the NYSE-listed company was sold to Swiss Re in 1988. Life Re was the largest independent life reinsurance company in the US. In addition Mr. Hawes founded Insurance Investment Associates, an insurance mergers and acquisition firm. He and his family are now developing the 5 Guys Burgers and Fries franchise in several western US states. Rodney Hawes also serves on several boards of entrepreneurial firms and a Fortune 500 firm.
Rod and his wife Beverly actively fund various philanthropic projects in education and health fields. Harvard Business School recently dedicated a new classroom building, Hawes Hall, in his honor.
Zach Zirkle, Director
Zach is a Director for IndustryPro’s Atlanta office. Prior to joining IndustryPro, Zach managed a team of 45 employees for a large training organization. IndustryPro initially hired him to manage the company’s internship program, and he eventually transitioned into a Director role. Having co-founded a business in the real estate industry previously, Zach appreciates the challenges associated with building a company. As part of IndustryPro’s team, he has closed several deals in the healthcare and manufacturing industries. Zach is a graduate of Brigham Young University and is fluent in Spanish.
Nathan Pitcher, Director
Nathan is a Director in IndustryPro's Atlanta office. Nathan works side-by-side with business owners in order to develop and execute growth plans and exit strategies. Before his current role, Nathan managed a market research and industry analysis team for IndustryPro. Prior to joining IndustryPro, he worked as a Director at ViDi, Inc. where he helped raise investment capital and increased sales through promotional distribution. In addition, Nathan has worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), holds a degree from BYU's Marriott School of Management, and is fluent in Spanish.
Daniel Pakkala, Director
Daniel Pakkala is a director in IndustryPro’s Atlanta office. Daniel joined IndustryPro after working as a supply chain analyst for INVISTA, a Koch Industries subsidiary. A distinguished Honor Scholars Graduate with a BBA in Finance and a minor in Applied Statistics from Kennesaw State University, Daniel served as Managing Director of KSU’s investment fund which beat several hundred funds to win first place for growth style at the Quinnipiac forum on global asset management. Daniel is active in the community and is a member of several organizations, including the Association for Corporate Growth--having graduated from ACG University's M&A program--and the national liberty advocate group Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) where he serves as State Chair for GA. Daniel is fluent in Spanish.
Michael Hickenlooper, Director
Michael is a Director in IndustryPro’s Atlanta office. Mike’s primary responsibilities include consulting with business owners, deal sourcing, and closing M&A transactions. Before his current role as Director, Mike worked as an Acquisition Coordinator, responsible for maintaining relationships with IndustryPro’s wide network of private equity groups. Before IndustryPro, Michael worked for Linsalata Capital Partners, a lower-middle market private equity group. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from BYU’s Marriot School of Business.
Dan Staffieri, Director
Dan is a Director in IndustryPro’s Phoenix office. He works to connect our broad network of private equity firms with owners of qualified businesses and has experience in a number of industry verticals. Prior to joining IndutryPro, Dan worked in a variety of roles for various organizations including Executive Director of Marketing, Logistics Manager at a multinational training institution, Market Research and Analysis Team Lead, and capital assets analyst. Dan received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from BYU's Marriott School of Business and is fluent in Spanish.
